Ava Tallulah Hubbauer is a designer, artist, and writer currently based in New York. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Parsons Paris and studied design at Central Saint Martins. Her previous professional roles include working in sales for Maison Margiela, in the wardrobe department at NBCUniversal, and multiple design internships for Paris-based fashion brands while at university.

Based on her experiences in both Parisian couture houses and Hollywood wardrobe departments, her work blends theatricality and cinematic narrative with high fashion. She has an expansive knowledge of 20th century history as applied to fashion, film, fine art, music, and literature, and uses this interdisciplinary understanding of art and culture to elevate her storytelling to another level. She specializes in beading, embroidering, and textile manipulation, blending traditional methods of applique with modern construction. She is heavily influenced by retro-futurism, psychedelia, and surrealism; movements that incapsulate the dreamy, hallucinogenic, and otherworldly: a philosophy which carries through her design process of marrying costume and couture.
